Ingredients:

Coconut Oil

6 tablespoons

Baking Soda

4 tablespoons

Arrowroot

4 tablespoons

Essential Oils

Optional

Directions:

1. Combine the arrowroot and baking soda in a mixing bowl

2. Add the coconut oil till it well mixed

3. Add the essential oils, if required

4. Store the mixture in glass container or old deodorant container

Shea Butter and Coconut Oil Deodorant

Pure baking soda or coconut oil work well as deodorants. Shea butter makes it softer and gives it a good texture.

Ingredients:

Coconut Oil

3 Tablespoons

Shea Butter

2 Tablespoons

Arrowroot

2 Tablespoons

Baking Soda

3 Tablespoons

Essential Oil

Optional

Directions:

1. Take the coconut oil and shea butter in a double boiler and melt on medium heat

2. After removing from heat, add the baking soda and arrowroot. Mix well.

3. Add essential oil of your choice and store in glass container or empty deodorant stick.

  • The natural deodorant recipe mentioned above have ingredients which are effective in a natural way. You can use essential oil of your choice, so that it smells heavenly and a scent you would enjoy

  • If the deodorant made from the natural deodorant recipe causes skin irritation, you can reduce the amount of baking soda and increase the arrowroot in the recipe.

  • It is normal for the home made deodorants to liquefy when heated above 76 degrees or in summer. You can store it by refrigerating, so that it remains solid.

  • The body takes time to adjust to natural deodorants, and takes a long time to eliminate toxins accumulated from commercial deodorants. You can start by applying the home made deodorants twice a day.
